• Successfully navigated FAR Part 12 contracting process for over $1 billion of commercial sales to the U.S. Air Force in climate of intense scrutiny of commercial purchases for defense use.

  • Led legal support for manufacturer’s response to discovery of noncompliant material in supplied parts, culminating in end to government investigation without action against the manufacturer.

  • Negotiated settlement agreements on allowable pension and foreign subsidiary costs, resolving multi-year disputes with the Defense Contract Management Agency.

  • Created and delivered company-wide training programs on government contracts fundamentals, commercial sales to the Department of Defense, and purchasing in support of government contracts.

  • Completed comprehensive improvements to corporate investigation, training and disclosure program, allowing for early end to administrative agreement with suspension and debarment officials.

  • Represented major defense contractor in industry association efforts to improve government acquisition process, including successfully blocking rule that would have introduced a percentage of sales test for commercial items purchased by DoD.

  • Served on working group for the Defense Industry Initiative on Business Ethics and Conduct, promoting best practices for defense contractor ethics and compliance programs.
